British media: Salah hopes to break records at Liverpool, but he doesn't want to accept a pay cut

Salah said after Liverpool's victory over Manchester United that this was his last year with the team, but Football Insider said that this was actually a strategy for Salah to plan for himself and let Liverpool offer him a new contract.

Salah's current contract expires next summer, when he will definitely receive a lucrative contract, including an offer from a Saudi team.

Football Insider said that Salah privately expressed his desire to continue playing for Liverpool next season because he hopes to break club and Premier League records and be remembered as one of Liverpool's greatest players in history.

However, Salah does not want to accept a pay cut or a contract of lower value. The Egyptian star is currently the highest-paid player in Liverpool's history, with a weekly salary of 350,000 pounds.

Although Salah's contract expires at the end of this season, he told Sky Sports that the club has not yet negotiated a contract extension with him.
