Colwell: I knew Carsley was good when he was at U21 level; I worked well with Fofana

Recently, Colwell, who is training with the England team, talked about his views on Carsley, Fofana and Maresca in an interview with Chelsea officials.

"I am very happy to reunite with him. I know he is an excellent coach from when I worked with him in the England U21, so this is really an exciting moment for England."

"I think he has trained very good players. They play top-level football and perform very well. So, it is a very exciting moment to be an England player, to be involved in it, and to be an England fan."

"He is really an excellent player. I really like playing with him. He is very aggressive and I think we cooperate well."

"On weekdays, he is a great guy. I get along well with him and I think everyone in the team gets along well with him."

"We are Chelsea, we We want to win every game but of course, games like Sunday are going to happen and Crystal Palace are a good team and that's what they do best. We need to improve and hopefully in the next game we can beat them."

"There were a lot of positives from the game and of course there's a lot to improve on but we're improving day by day, we're getting better and you could see the football we were playing was really good."
