Puma coach Lema confirmed that Liverpool wanted to sign the team's Mexican striker Cesar Huerta.
Mexican media TUDN reported that Pumas coach Lema confirmed that Liverpool did try to sign Cesar Huerta, but the negotiations failed because the Championship club Sunderland refused to loan the Mexican striker.
Puma coach Lema said: "Cesar Huerta was scouted by one of the best clubs in the world, which is a pride. What are you going to tell people? Say that you have a player who was scouted by Liverpool? No, people want to win, which is their right. We can't say anything to people."
