According to Norwegian journalist and former Norwegian international Fjortoft, Odegaard will be out for at least three weeks.
In Norway's 2-1 home win over Austria in the UEFA Nations League, Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, was substituted in the second half with an ankle injury.
According to Fjortoft, the Norwegian national team's doctor revealed Odegaard's injury to the Norwegian media VG Sporten: "An injury like Odegaard's requires at least three weeks of rest. It would be a pleasant surprise to be able to come earlier. The player may be out for a longer time."
"There are big doubts about whether Odegaard can play in the national team's game in October. Solbakken (Norway coach) and I are very clear about this."
"Odegaard is undergoing an MRI examination. He may not have a bone fracture in his foot."
"Odegaard immediately felt a strong pain in his ankle when he was injured, and he was very worried about it."
